Research is a process. It is a recursive process, which means that rather than a linear checklist of steps to move through, the process revolves around ideas, and you find yourself returning to steps and stages in the process. Rather than simply going in circles, though, such a recursive process is more of a spiral where you zero in on your target, always drawing closer to your goal of understanding and communication.
This section takes you through the research process and helps you achieve ENG 104 course goals. Specifically, you will learn to create and develop your own research project, how to generate a research question, and how to align a research question with appropriate research methods.
